Red card, penalties, and in the end — a draw

On November 22, at the Vahagn Tumasyan Stadium in Abovyan, the match between Noah and Alashkert took place.

In the opening minutes, Noah’s pressure was quite evident. Although Noah’s first goal came from a penalty kick, it resulted from the strong performance of the reigning champions of Armenia. The scoring was opened by Gor Manvelyan.

Midway through the first half, David Sualehe was sent off by the referee for a last-man foul, which caused significant protests. A penalty was awarded, and Karen Nalbandyan converted it accurately to make it 1–1.

The first-half goals didn’t end there. Noah’s captain, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, scored a beautiful long-range goal past Arsen Beglaryan, making it 2–1. Near the end of the first half, another controversial moment occurred: the opposing player handled the ball inside his own box, but the referee judged the incident to be within the laws of the game.
 

THE SECOND HALF AND ANOTHER PENALTY AGAINST US
 

In the second half, Noah mainly shifted to deep defending and waited for their moment. Unfortunately, another penalty—again a highly debatable one—was awarded against Noah. According to the referee, Gonçalo Silva handled the ball inside the box. This time Timothy Fayulu saved the penalty, but Momo Toure scored on the rebound, making it 2–2.
